My husband Russ and I started breeding Mini Schnauzers in 1995. In 2005 I could see that the stripping and show grooming required for the Mini’s was soon going to be more than I could physically handle so we purchased our first Havanese, Jazzy, to show from Flaming Geyser Havanese. Jazzy ended up to be too small to show and we got Darcy whose AKC registered name is Flaming Geysers Dulcinea.
Darcy’s show career started the end of January 2007 and she received her Championship on September 2nd 2007. Darcy was bred to LP ”s Wee Bit of Chili at Fiesta, “Chili”, when she was old enough and had all of her health testing done to obtain her CHIC number. She had her first litter in September 2008. Out of that litter of 5 we got two outstanding boys. Ch. MapleCreek’s Come Home Bill Bailey, “Bailey”, received his championship while still in the puppy class. I started showing his brother MapleCreek’s Days of Wine and Roses, “Marley”, the end of October 2009. Marley is well on his way toward his Championship and has been shown exclusively in the Bred By Exhibitor class. One of his accomplishments was a BBE group two in Roseburg, OR.
Since Darcy and Chili had such a wonderful litter that I repeated the breeding and she recently blessed us with 6 beautiful puppies. See available puppies.
We purchased Chloe in July of 2008 and recently bred her to our Champion Bailey. They had 7 adorable puppies. See available puppies.
Bailey and Chloe have had all their health testing done except their hip x-rays and passed all with flying colors. We are hoping to get some more show dogs out of these two litters and the rest will be available for sale.
Our priority in our breeding program has always been and will always be Health first, Personality second, Conformation third and other appointments last. We are expecting good things out of these two litters.
We absolutely adore our Havanese. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and given a lot of love and hands-on attention. We expose them to as many types of situations as we can so they are very well socialized before they leave us. This is important for both the pups we sell as pets and also for the pups we keep to show. As you can see they are used to my two year old greatgranddaughter.
All of our dogs are very solid and agile. All our PET puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract and are not to be bred. Terms for show puppies are negotiated.
Happy Havanese owner, breeder and handler,
Roz Shroyer
